My Guard Angel

My Teasure ChestLast night I couldn’t sleep  so I started to think  and EVERY single thought  
that came to mind  lead right back to you.  I remembered when you  
told me  that I had to learn about  myself  
before I could figure out  you….  that’s what I did  
last night.   
And here is what  
I came to a  
conculsion to   
that the “REAL” me  is in a  teasure chest  suffocated in chains and locks,  barried in the  sand  of a forgotten  island  abandoned in the  
sea  of the lost parts  of My Teasure Chest

If Only...We sit there under that tree  while we watch the sunset  
hide behind the mountain.  Underneath us is the red and  
white checkered pinic blanket  that we ate off of earlier today  when we feed the tiny ants  with our leftovers.  The sun gets sleepier and  
I feel the land beneath  us grow colder.  Once the last of our heater  leaves us, I cuddle in next to him  
and we share each others warmth.  A new fleece blanket lays over me  
now, he’s been preparing  
for this night,  
he even brought a small lantern  that lets just enough light  
for me If Only...

Dream LurkerI awake  
in the sky  
in the comfort  
of a cloud.  
A soft, white,  
fluffy cloud.   
I look down,  
down to the  
earth below  
where a meadow  
relaxes under  
the light yellow rays  
of sunshine.  
I jump to him  
and fall lightly  
into the arms  
of a leaf- covered,  
friendly tree  
that was gentle  
and kind  to set me on  
the dry green.   
“Thank you”,  
I say to  
the tree.   
There are  
millions of  
flowers  
surrounding me.    I lean down  
and Dream Lurker
